We offer Early Bird Specials starting at $70 per hour (not per person), a late early bird at $75  and our everyday rate is $90. You can rent for 1 hour, 1.5 hours or 2 hours! We offer a variety of different ways to provide you with a discount. We have a large fleet of jet skis to service your needs.  These rates are per ski and not per person. All military and veterans will receive $10 off our everyday jet ski rental rate. (Thank you for your service.)

In the State of Florida you can be 14 to operate a jet ski. However, you must have a parent/guardian sign our leasing rental agreement if you are under the age of 18.  Riders can be of 50lbs or more.  It is best that the child be able to sit behind the driver for their own safety.  Not all jet ski rental companies have the insurance to allow 14 to operate.  Woody’s is a family, friendly environment and encourage all parents accompany their minors so we allow 14-17 years of age to operate with proper boaters licensing.

The State of Florida requires a temporary boaters license for all people interested in operating a jet ski born after January 1st, 1988. Florida Wildlife Conservation offers them online – click here to get started. (AGE 36 YEARS OLD & YOUNGER). Remember – you only need a temporary boating license. If previously tested through this website – you can simply login and retake the exam. The temporary boating license is ONLY VALID FOR 90 DAYS. (Previously one year.). All NASBLA & USCG Boaters Licenses are acceptable.  This is a law that dates back to 2010.

Most days you can venture to the Gulf of Mexico or Boca Ciega Bay. The USCG has provided us with the boundaries for jet ski rentals. Safety is our number one priority so it is possible due to Winds or Tide – you may be restricted to one or the other. There are 6 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico for riding.  We also provide some markers in Boca Ciega Bay for you. We make the determination every morning. We do not guarantee one place or another.  Docking or beaching a rental jet ski is strictly forbidden.  We have a watch on board to help you keep track of the time.

All Bank Debit Cards will require a HOLD of $400 per jet ski rental or per immediate family (i.e. spouse and/or children) for incidental damage. We will HOLD/FREEZE funds during the duration of rental and release upon return to dock. You may put a Credit Card on file in lieu of any type of HOLD but will be responsible for any damage that occurs on any of the jet ski rentals under your reservation. We are not responsible for any overdraft fees that occur during this time. We appreciate your cooperation.

No problem. 90% of our customers are newbies. We will provide you with a safety orientation prior to your rental and ensure that you feel safe. Just bring a photo ID & a credit card/debit card and we can get you started.

We will happily lock and store any of your personal belongings once you get checked in.

Our certified and trained employees will provide you with a Safety Orientation prior to your ride. We will discuss Safety, Navigational Laws, Boundaries and the Operation of a Jet Ski prior to leaving the dock. We have a watch on board to help you keep track of time.  At any time that we think that you’re putting others or yourself at risk we will revoke your ride immediately.  Woody’s Watersports has a safety first approach to everything.

We understand that this is a vacation spot and alcohol use is probable.  We have a zero tolerance policy with alcohol.  If we detect ANY alcohol has been consumed on day of ride, your ride will be revoked.  Jet Ski’s and Alcohol are not a good combination and quite frankly, illegal.

We ask that you notify us 24 hours in advance for a full refund.  Failure to give us ample notice will result in a credit good for 1 year. At this time we will not be issuing refunds if your reservation is within 24 hours. If we can accomodate you, we will reschedule for sameday there will be a $10 per ski, reschedule fee. Please contact us if you run in to a conflict with your reservation. Thank you. 

Safety is our number one priority. If we are concerned that the weather may be an issue, we will reschedule or refund based on your travel needs.  We usually do not make that decision until the morning of operation.  Florida’s weather changes quickly.  Don’t let what looks like the forecast of rain this week stop you from making a reservation. We are incredibly accommodating.

Florida State law requires the weight to be 50lbs (5 years of age). Keep in mind that most of your travel will be in the Gulf of Mexico.  If your child can comfortably sit behind you while you drive, you will be good to go.  Otherwise it is up to OUR discretion.  Understandably, you will want to protect your child while you are driving but your main concern when operating a jet ski is to drive the jet ski.  Thank you in advance for you understanding.

According to Florida State Law “SB606” effective July 1, 2023 – it is suggested that you purchase $500,000 per person and $1million per event for damages or injuries inurance coverage for your upcoming trip. Please be aware that if you choose to not purchase that level of coverage, you will be asked to sign and attest to this declination as per the requirements outlined in Florida Law SB606.  See one of Woody’s Crew members for details.

All parking in John’s Pass is paid parking. The parking garage and the public lots operated by Madeira Beach in the center of John’s Pass will have the best hourly rate.

The lots directly across from Woody’s are private lots, typically all-day pricing, and tend to be pricey.

Occasionally, we have a spot open right in front of our business.

Please plan ahead as the parking can be troublesome along all the beaches during peak seasons.

Reservation times are not altered due to parking complications.
