Never Run out of Fun Stuff in Tampa!
Everyone knows the Tampa area enjoys great water access to stretches of the warmest coast in the country. Of course there is amazing beaching, fishing, boating and jet skiing across Tampa. There are even amazing sites to see at Busch Gardens. But when you’re done taking in all the stuff the area is famous for, maybe you should try taking in the more local comforts.
If you are with your family, remember Tampa Bay is a top destination for waterparks. There are well over twenty throughout the St Pete and Tamp area. With hulking waterslides and wave pools you could enjoy for as long as you could stand the sun, area waterparks include some of the largest in the country. And after a long day at one of the area’s many water parks, truck out to Clearwater and enjoy the best sunset you may ever see.
Watching the sunset to the West over the Gulf of Mexico is a site to behold. With nothing but flat water stretching out before you for miles, Florida Gulf Coast waters are by far the best in the Southeast. While in Clearwater, stop by Pier 60. Full of artisans and crafters, street performers, and music nightly from 6-10 p.m. Pier 60 also offers visitors free film screening on Friday and Saturday nights.
And if you want to enjoy one of the best kept secrets in all of the Tampa area, be sure to check out Lithia Springs Park. A natural spring swimming hole in the middle of the woods, Lithia Springs Park is a constant, and refreshing, 72 degrees year round. The water is clear to the bottom, and the water temperature remains the same temperature because it comes straight from underground.
The Tampa area is any vacationer’s dream. Full of plenty of fun watersports and natural beauty, you will never run out of amazing things to experience. And when you’re done with one, it’s on to the next!
